While most fashion folk were busy sipping champers all week, our trend spotter Cedric has been diligently scouring NYC sidewalks for new styles. Here’s the the first of a four-part trend report from Fashion Week, as showcased by its best dressed attendees.

Black +white+ white+ Black:
The Breakdown:
The recent barrage of all-over prints on streetwear has lead style mavens to fight back with a weapon they know best: simple futuristic conceptualism in the form of black and white. Black and white silohuettes conjure the style spirits of old New York City, a magical time when Madonna stomped down Avenue D with Basquiat in tow and the Ramones were regulars at CBGB’s on Bowery. Sometimes style has to take a couple steps back to move forward. Die all over prints Die!!!!
