While so many bands followed specific musical trends throughout the course of the rise of alternative rock, one of the few that had a sound unlike any other was Morphine. Drums, saxophone and that haunting two-string bass of frontman Mark Sandman put these guys in a league of their own. Their career came to an unfortunate abrupt end when Sandman passed away from a heart attack in 1999.
It was tough to pick a single video from their catalog for our Flashback Friday, but I opted for the creeptastic "Early To Bed," which comes from their 1997 album Like Swimming.
