Video: Health, “Heaven”

When we were in middle school we sometimes would have to do weird activities where we would spend Friday afternoons with this one teacher who made us watch Warren Miller ski movies—sometimes he would rewind and show us the same couple ski jumps over and over, explaining that we would never get to that level whether we skied or not. This video takes footage not from a Warren Miller ski movie, but from Herzog’s The Great Ecstasy of the Woodcarver Steiner, and it is extended shots of dudes doing big jumps that we cannot do. Thanks for reminding us of that, HEALTH.
