Merge Records Welcomes Wye Oak

Uber-indie label Merge Records has just added another artist to their already ridiculously strong roster. They have officially announced the signing of Baltimore's Wye Oak, and will be releasing their debut full-length, If Children, on April 8. Two duo, formerly known as Monarch, is comprised of Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack. We checked out the song "Warning," which has elements of shoegaze and folk, and it is mighty good.

You can officially add Wye Oak to your list of must hear bands of the New Year. They will be touring throughout January, so make sure to catch them if they're coming to a town near you.
