What’s great about Kanye is that he figures out the shortest route to everything: success, stardom, making Daft Punk popular, slotted eyewear, the list goes on. And with his video for “Flashing Lights,” co-directed with Spike Jonze, he’s figured out how to avoid trips to therapy. It’s all right there on the screen! And it’s shot in that slo-mo, one take style Spike used to use all the time that only he seems to do right. Also, that girl is fit. Also, apparently when Kanye showed this at a Grammy afterparty, Nas said, “That video is fucking incredible!” Well said.
