The NYC dream pop group Asobi Seksu has found a new record label to call home. Although they will continue to release albums in Europe on One Little Indian, here in the US they'll be through indie label Polyvinyl Record Co. The band is currently planning on returning to the studio in June to begin work on their third proper album, so it is obvious too early to speculate any form of release date.
About signing to Polyvinyl, guitarist/songwriter James Hanna said: ""I couldn't be happier to be working with Polyvinyl. They are such a well-respected label and have a great sense of post-punk, diy ethics. Yuki and I are both huge record junkies so the fact that they are super into high quality vinyl releases with such creative packaging is exciting."
Vocalist Yuki Chikudate is mighty pleased with the band's future as well. She added: "Our last record was done under such stressful conditions, especially given the time constraints, so there was not as much room to try out everything that we wanted to." She also confirmed that the new album will once again be working with producer Chris Zane.
