Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears' Van Stolen

Hearing about a band losing gear when their van and/or trailer is stolen is nothing new, but it sucks just as much each time it is reported. This time the unfortunate victims are Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears, who lost their equipment along with their van and trailer this past week. Among the stolen equipment was Brian Bauer's 42-year-old drum kit, which had belonged to his late grandfather. Here is what Bauer had to say about the theft:

Tragedy has struck Bryan Scary & The Shredding Tears. Our van, trailer, and all of our instruments were stolen the other night in Los Angeles. The band is stuck in L.A., and we're in desperate need of your help.

Among the stolen instruments was my 42-year-old drum set. My grandfather passed-away before I had a chance to meet him, but he played on that kit. Needless to say, I'm devastated.

Please find it in your heart to help us out. I set up a paypal account to receive donations for the band. Please go to, click on "send money" at the top, and the receiving account email is There is also a donation button at
