Freeload: Brendan Canning, "Hit The Wall"

The voice behind one of our favorite Broken Social Scene songs, "Stars and Sons", has a new album coming out this summer. That dude is Brendan Canning and this is the first song off Something For All of Us, that album. It shares some of the aforementioned song's momentum (along with some Radiohead-ish riffing) but really gets going in its latter half with a bonanza of lazy strings and horns that oddly makes us miss BSS while simultaneously getting us souped on dude's solo joints. If our allergies weren't so bad, this song would make us go jump into a pile of flowers.
