Things seem to come in sevens for the Texas band Toadies. 1994 saw the release of their debut LP, Rubberneck, and seven years later their follow-up, Hell Below, Stars Above, saw the light of day. Shortly after the release of that record, the band decided to call it a day.
Over the last few years, Toadies have reunited for several one off shows with an almost complete lineup sans bassist Lisa Umbarger. With the success of these sold out shows the band has now decided to work on a third album, seven years after their last one. The new lineup consisting of Vaden Todd Lewis, Mark Reznicek, Clark Vogeler and Doni Blair hit the studio this spring to start recording their forthcoming album, No Deliverance, which will be released on August 19 via Kirtland Records.
Toadies will also hit the road starting in June for a full tour. Peep the dates below, and check out some of the new material live.
