The upcoming All Points West Festival, taking place August 8 - 10 at New Jersey's Liberty State Park, just got a bit bigger with some additions to their already strong lineup. Friday's bill now contains Grizzly Bear and The Duke Spirit, and Sunday's will now also have Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Trey Anastasio and Classic TAB featuring Russ Lawton, Tony Markellis and Ray Paczkowski, Robyn, Matt Costa and Ben Jelen.
These artists will be joining some amazing bands for the weekend, including two nights of Radiohead, along with Jack Johnson, Underworld, Kings of Leon, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cat Power, The Roots, The New Pornographers, Youssou N'Dour, Animal Collective, Andrew Bird, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Metric, CSS, Girl Talk, Chromeo, The Go! Team, Amadou & Mariam, The Black Angels, Sia, The Felice Brothers, K'Naan, Jason Isbell, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Alberta Cross, The Virgins, Black Kids, Mates of State, Duffy, Forro in the Dark, Nicole Atkins, Juana Molina, Little Brother, Rogue Wave, Neil Halstead and Your Vegas.
To help add a bit of "green" environmental sensitivity to the event, details of a ferry service to help music fans go directly from Manhattan to the festival grounds have now been announced. The fifteen-minute trip will depart from Pier 11 (Wall St. & FDR), running from noon until all patrons have left the grounds. Round trip tickets will cost you $20 if purchased in advance, or $25 to $30 for day of the shows. Yup, helping the environment on this one will take a bite out of your wallet.
