Cosmopolitan Bass, the newest mix by Ghislain Poirier fulfills the dreams we never knew we had (the repurposing of the whiny synth from Kriss Kross’ “Jump,” Assassin and Machel Montano appearing within five tracks of each other), and also puts us onto songs that make us want to punch holes in walls constantly (in a good way). Curiously (actually not that curiously) Poirier will be DJing the New Yorker Dance Party as part of the upcoming New Yorker festival.
