Video: Salem, "Dirt"

Here is the debut video from Salem, the first band signed to Patrik North's new label Acephale. The band made it themselves in Traverse City, Michigan, and let it be known, we will not be going to Traverse City, Michigan anytime soon. Salem are scary (sort of) and have pretty well approximated their sound—screwed-down industrial ghost crunk—in this video. There is a lot of smoke, a naked lady (NSFW) and a few people who seem really bummed to be driving around in an Oldsmobile, but we bet if you speed this song up it sounds like "Love In This Club."

A few copies (literally just a few!) of the Yes I Smoke Crack EP from Acephale are left at Turntable Lab in North America
or Rough Trade
and Puregroove in the UK and Europe, and Salem will be releasing their next EP through Merok Records in October.
