Freeload: Larkin Grimm, “Ride That Cyclone”
- story THE FADER
Although Larkin Grimm sticks closely to the wide-eyed nature folk that recently brought Vashti Bunyan back to the fore, her life is a beardo’s dream. After growing up in a religious cult she went to a Coca Cola-funded boarding school, got a full scholarship to Yale, traveled around and somehow became a member of the Dirty Projectors before leaving the group to finish school at Yale and go live in a tent for awhile. If you like music that sounds like hanging out in Narnia and/or galloping on a horse, download “Ride that Cyclone” below. It’s from Parplar, which is out this fall on Young God records.
