Echo & The Bunnymen To Perform Ocean Rain At Radio City October 1st.

After performing their classic LP in its entirety this past Tuesday alongside a full orchestra at London's Royal Albert Hall, the iconic British rock group will bring the show to New York's Radio City Music Hall for their only US appearance.

Funny thing is, we here at the Tripwire viewed this date with curiosity as good pals and openers Glasvegas have been scheduled to perform at the venue for some time now and had wondered with whom they were going to play. 2008 represents Echo & The Bunnymen's 30th anniversary, and like in London, the group will perform the entire Ocean Rain LP with a 10-piece orchestra. From the press release: "Released in 1984, Ocean Rain was Echo & The Bunnymen's fourth album and is widely considered their masterpiece. It mesmerized Echo's fans and broke them to a much wider audience on the strength of such towering songs as "Silver," "Seven Seas" and the unforgettable "The Killing Moon."

As they are sure to go fast, we suggest going here now if you want to purchase tickets.
