Video: E-40 f. Turf Talk, “Got Rich Twice”
- story THE FADER
Although E-40 has a catalog chockful of hits, it seems like “Got Rich Twice” signifies his realization that mega hit lightning might only strike once, and it’s pointless to try and imitate it. “Got Rich Twice” is pretty much the exact opposite of “Tell Me When to Go,” replacing sleigh bells with scary Halloween noises and mechanical ghost howls. We almost made a ghostriding the whip joke, but instead we dug up this old interview with 40 Water, done right before the release of My Ghetto Report Card, and put “Got Rich Twice” on repeat.
