Freeload: Jenny Lewis, “Acid Tongue”
- story THE FADER
In FADER Number 35 the indubitably adorable Jenny Lewis revealed that the first song she ever learned on guitar was The Eagles’ “Desperado.” With “Acid Tongue,” from her album of the same name that came out this week, she practically rewrites it. Except instead of singing about cowboy who apparently doesn’t like people that much, she’s dropping acid in Dixie and lying to dudes. What a gal! She’ll be playing at Austin City Limits tomorrow night—which we just realized is going to be a pretty great festival this year—so check that out if you’re in Texas.
