DM Stith‘s EP Curtain Speech, a collection of orchestral folk songs ranging from wispy piano and choir arrangements to the multi-part freakout on the seven and a half minute “Just Once,” comes out on Asthmatic Kitty December 9th. Much like the other AK releases we’ve been feeling lately, producer/artist/redhead Rafter Roberts has a hand in the production, which could mean anything from fleshing Stith’s songs out with a string quartet to playing cymbals on the record, and if he’s lucky, giving him a broken guitar he found in the trash.
