LA: The FADER/Abington Launch Event

This past Saturday in Los Angeles we were at Fred Segal in Santa Monica as The FADER came together with Timberland to celebrate their new Abington Collection of footwear (purchasable here). Dam-Funk, aka the coolest dude in LA, spun classic soul and boogie, then would get on the mic mid-jam to call out production and label credits. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS! And as day turned into night, our gracious guests enjoyed complimentary Bass Ale and Dewars. In the new issue of The FADER, designers Anthony Evans and Dave Cory say that they wanted to be sure the Abington “worked on a farm, but was also stylish enough for the streets.” What they didn’t mention was how good the shoes are for dancing on carpeting with a mini meatball sandwich in your hand.
