It's fall in New York and we've got our pumpkin carving skills and apple cider mugs all ready. The best part of the season is piling on layers of loose-fitting sweaters, wrapping our necks with bulky scarves and topping it off with a cozy comforter jacket. On a chilly Friday night we got certain versions of that at Alphabeta in Brooklyn for the Younity-presented book release of Heart and Soul, a glossy collection of sixty female artists showcasing pieces of art related to their youth. While most New Yorkers pride themselves in the ability to schlep through the cold and still look Grade A, the kids at Alphabeta took it up a notch by dragging their chukkas out of recent summer storage and owning that hat they'd been waiting all year to wear.
