Mochilla just sent over the promo for DJ Dusk’s Rootdown Soundclash which collects the footage B+ and Coleman shot at the LA club from 2001 to 2003 of the producer battles organized by the late great DJ Dusk. The DVD is divided into three rounds of live beatmaking, pitting Madlib up against Cut Chemist, will.i.am versus Thes One in an epic clash of hatted, shirts offed, silk-vested bananadrama, and a final round of Ohno busting it up with Exile. If you’ve ever been lucky enough to attend to the storied Rootdown Thursday night parties, this will bring back good memories, and if you haven’t it will probably just make you wonder why you hate on LA so much—people have fun there!
