Video: Worlds Collide! Award-Winning FADER Contributor Directs a T-Pain Video

November 06, 2008

Ever since we saw T-Pain wearing a bejeweled Aqua Teen Hunger Force medallion, we were like What is that guy's deal? It turns out that his deal is that he was giving a bit of free promotion to Adult Swim executive Nick Weidenfeld (who's Silver Jews feature from F31 also appeared in the 2006 edition of Da Capo's Best Music Writing series). Weidenfeld, along with Jacob Escobedo (collaboratively known as Bank Head), is responsible for the entire album packaging behind T-Pain's upcoming album Thr33 Ringz, as well as the video for "Karaoke," which features T-Pain in full battle rap mode. Also included: DJ Khaled intimidating old white people by yelling so close to their faces that he spits into their mouths, and Akon going nuts on the bongo drums and looking really proud of himself.
