Freeload: Blank Dogs, “Red World”

November 20, 2008

During a recent late night music epiphany session, we realized that Blank Dogs could be the fuzzed out Joy Division-referencing version of Lil Wayne. Like Wayne, dude puts most of his music out for free and with alarming frequency. For all we know, there could be a five mic classic Blank Dogs album that we have never even heard. Next Tuesday, Woodsist will release The Fields, featuring a few songs we've seen floating around, but primarily collecting a bunch of new jams. One of our favorites is "Red World," which features some of the sharpest guitarwork and catchiest melodies we've heard from Blank Dogs yet. We're not sure what it's about, but we're going to pretend it's about vampires. Download "Red World" below, and make sure to spend physical dollars on a physical copy of The Fields next week.
