The latest incident in a recent string of commercial spots featuring indie darlings, involves Adidas shoes and Katie White and Jules De Martino, better known as The Ting Tings. White and De Martino appear in a commercial released by the shoe company this week to celebrate "60 Years of Soles and Stripes".
The word celebration is a misnomer, though, because it's not really a party so much as a pretend party caught on camera as part of Adidas's largest-ever global brand campaign. Oddly enough, the commercial is the very first TV spot Adidas has ever created, and they really pulled out the stops to pop this cherry. Party go-ers include Katy Perry, Estelle, Young Jeezy, Method Man, Redman, Missy Elliot, David Beckham and a host of other celebrity shell-top enthusiasts, plus our favorite, The Ting Tings.
The commercial features the song "Beggin'", remixed by Pilooski.
