Art And Music Collide - Twi The Humble Feather & Nobuko Hori

This is the first installment of Art And Music Collide, where we film some of our favorite bands performing in front of a green screen featuring videos provided by some of our favorite visual artists.

Twi The Humble Feather started drawing the attention of music critics when they were picked to open for Jose Gonzales on tour this summer, but the trio of Anthony Lebron, Hektor Fontanez and Bryan Doring are no strangers to the new wave of New York freak folk. Part of the Friendly Ghost Collective (of which Fontanez and Doring's other projects -- Liek and Alias Pail respectively -- are also a part of), Twi self-released their debut CD Music for Spaceships and Forests in June, but it will get is proper street date this coming December 16. Depending on how you look it at, Music... is either a long EP or a short LP (only 5 songs, but over 23 minutes long), and features the single they performed in studio for us, "Adventures Of Castle One".

Nobuko Hori is a musician in her own right who released an album earlier this year on Music Related. Simultaneously, she double dips as a visual artist who has created videos for (among others), Shugo Tokumaru, Christopher Willits and Midori Hirano. For Twi, Nobuko was kind enough to create this video especially for this Tripwire exclusive.
