Lennon Brothers To Perform Together For First Time Next Month

As famous feuds go, it doesn't get much bigger than Lennon vs. Lennon. Or, perhaps more accurately, Julian vs. Yoko. There's been animosity between the three since John Lennon's murder in 1980, but it looks like the bridges are about to be rebuilt -- Sean and Julian will perform together in public next month in New York.

The event bringing the two together is the United Nations Millenium Goal Awards on February 26. Word on the street is that the brothers will be joined by Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora and possibly Akon and Macy Gray.

The concert was dreamed up by , who is apparently friends with all the artists and involved and convinced the Lennons to do the gig.

The troubles in the Lennon clan started brewing shortly after John's murder in 1980, when Yoko Ono refused to grant Julian (and his mother Cynthia Lennon) what they felt was their rightful share of the estate. As recently as 2007, though, Julian surprised Sean in Prague at a 2007 concert. Here's hoping that the UN gig will help to bring the peace between the two that's been needed for 28 years -- who knows what kind of music could come out of that pairing.
