When it comes to real sweat, hard work and determination no one can beat our main wintertime inspiration November. However, as January winds down, the going gets tough, and our New Year’s resolutions get buried in boxes of Soft Batch cookies, we’ve been searching for new jams to keep us powering on. Luckily, Francis Starlight’s falsetto vocals have a way of reminding us to keep reaching for that imaginary cat tickler in the sky. Based on his live show, we’d say Francis’ own personal goals are to become the next 1) Hardest Working Man in Show Business 2) His Royal Badness 3) Peter Gabriel. If you are looking to get pumped up, Francis and the Lights will be playing at The Bowery next Thursday, February 5th for the release of new single “LIME/WYN” on Cantora Records.
