Young Chris still wears a Rocafella chain. This probably shouldn't be as surprising as it is, but what even is Rocafella today? Is it Kanye (when he's rapping)? Jay-Z in an ill fitting leather Members Only jacket? Memphis Bleek doing...what it is he does for money these days? Or is it Young Chris, who once lived the dream of pretty much anyone rapping in 2001 and got signed to the Roc as part of the Young Gunz at the tender age of 16? The kid had promise. Actually, the kid was nice. The thing is, he still is (and is somehow still promising). And yet after some 8 years in, he's still young enough to refer to himself as "Young" Chris. His album doesn't have an official release date yet but we're psyched on it so we asked him to come talk to us about it. He did, and also what Rocafella still means to him.
