Freeload: Three New Swan Lake Songs

February 24, 2009

It must be pretty daunting to be part of a super group because you're expected to consistently make the best music of your collective careers. We're not going to say that Swan Lake's two albums are the best sounds ever to be recorded to tape or computer or whatever they use these days, but we will say that neither have left our hi-fi yet, and we don't see them budging any time soon. Swan Lake's sophomore album Enemy Mine is out March 24th, but until then Jagjaguwar has seen fit to release three of our favorites from it onto the internet. Most notable is "Spanish Gold, 2044" which features Carey Mercer singing about bullwhips and nightstands and a storm? We don't know either.
