Prog-metal outfit Poison The Well will release its fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2007′s Versions, June 16 on Ferret Records. The band also has plans to celebrate Record Store Day with a little gift to fans.
The album, The Tropic Rot, was produced by Steve Evetts (of Every Time I Die, Kid Dynamite and Dillinger Escape Plan fame), and the band plans to release album art, track list info and U.S. tour dates in the coming months. They’ve also just announced the release of a CD version of their 7-inch series, I/III / II/III / III/III that will be available for Record Store Day, April 18. The CD format will see a limited edition run of 2,000, and will feature all the tracks from the three 7-inches.
If you’re heading to Europe in the next couple of months, you might be able to catch them — they’ll be all over the map between March and April.
