We’re sure you’ve noticed the changes going on over here at The Tripwire as of late, and it’s only the beginning. We’re looking to keep improving on all fronts, and we need some help. The Tripwire is looking to fill a variety of positions in our New York office. Ideal candidates will be available 10-15 hours a week (minimum), based in the New York area, and willing to work for experience or school credit. Specifically, here are the types of people we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate will be available 10-15 hours per week during the Summer/Fall beginning in early May. Tasks include, but are not limited to, drafting news stories, assisting the editorial staff in copy-editing and fact-checking, transcribing interviews, and data entry. Knowledge of html and Photoshop a major plus.

Photo and Video:
The Tripwire is seeking Photo and Video interns with experience in shooting and cinematography. The ideal candidates will be available for 10-15 hours a week and experience in SD and HD cameras, lighting, mic placement, and live shooting a plus. Duties include, but are not limited to, some filming / photographing, editing and preparing photos and videos for upload. Much of the on-site work will occur on evenings and weekends at music venues, so candidates over 21 are preferred (but not mandatory). Photo interns efficient in Photoshop and Video interns with Final Cut or other editing experience a major plus. Note: Video interns just looking for editing and post-production work (no shooting) are also strongly encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will be available 10-15 hours a week, proficient at Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash, with samples of your work and design aesthetic readily available. Video editing/graphics experience a plus.
