Courtney Love is digging herself into a hole of controversy once more, but really are you surprised? Because we're not. It's about time the queen of alt-rock controversy got herself involved in another stint of sloshy trouble, only this time instead of drunkenly slurring her words in public, she has opted to write 'libelous tweets' about fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir, causing the designer to draw up charges against Love for her alleged malicious intent.
Simorangkir submitted papers to the Los Angeles superior court claiming Love had made "menacing and disturbing" statements about her on her Twitter and MySpace blogs. Love allegedly accused Simorangkir of being a drug dealer, racist, and a homophobe, according to Pedestrian TV. Simorangkir has claimed that Love's comments have caused her emotional distress, have interfered with her business and are an invasion of privacy.
Love's animosity towards the fashion designer erupted after Simorangkir apparently charged too much for her custom clothing. The two were previously friends, and Love even called Simorangkir "genius" last year. This isn't the first time Love has made trouble via internet blogs. This past November she publicly spilled the beans about Babes in Toyland signer/guitarist Kat Bjelland's financial problems on her blog as well. Moral of the story: Maybe Courtney Love shouldn't be allowed on the internet.
