A British Ice Cream commercial for Magnum Temptation ice cream (yeah, we know, what a name for a big old chocolate ice cream bar; we couldn't believe it either) has been caught ripping off the White Stripes' "My Doorbell" in their new ad.
According to Pitchfork, Jack White and his people have yet to say anything concerning the obvious copy-cat of their song. This wouldn't be the first time White would be used in commercial marketing for food products. "Love is the Truth", written by White, was used in a Coca Cola commercial that was aired in Australia and the UK. So could it be that Jack White is just letting the makers of those Magnum frozen, chocolatey delights butcher the lyrics of "My Doorbell" with something trite and British? We're not really sure, but we have to say, those Magnum ice cream bars do look pretty appetizing... regardless of the name and all.
