ATP have confirmed shoegaze forebearers (and seemingly ATP poster children as of late) My Bloody Valentine will be the curators of this year's Nightmare Before Christmas.
The party will take place on December 4-6 at Butlin's in Minehead, England. Kevin Sheilds has already booked Sonic Youth, De la Soul, Sun Ra Arkestra, EPMD and The Horrors for the bill (seems funny typing all those epic bands and then... The Horrors?). Mike Patton and Melvins were the forces behind last years Nightmare Before Christmas bash last year, so it's no surprise the festival has booked Dublin's staple shoegazers, My Bloody Valentine for the gig, in hopes of creating another stellar year of visual and musical mayhem.
ATP are also giving event goers a special deal on tickets for this years Nightmare Before Christmas party -- man, we love recession-specials. Attendees have the opportunity to purchase an early bird special for the event. Everyone who purchases a ticket for seven days until 9 a.m. on April 24 (or until the ticket allotment runs out) will get 20 euros off of their ticket.
