Trent Reznor has an iPhone, didn't you hear? Well, if you didn't know, now you do. And you should also know that technologically savvy NIN have launched a brand new iPhone application, so fans can be up to the minute on everything NIN, right at the touch of their fingers.
According to NIN.com, the new iPhone app will give fans an inside scoop on the band, from music, photos, videos, message boards, and thanks to the GPS feature on the iPhone, the fans themselves. The app apparently was thought up after Reznor was using Twinkle -- the iPhone app for Twitter -- to give his fans updates on backstage happenings. Now, the new app will allow you to post a photo or message by location, and you can see conversations between other people who are within the NIN network, according to Wired.com.
Along with making accessibility to news, updates and media for fans easier, the app will also serve as a way for NIN to promote themselves and keep a rooted fan base, since they no longer have the backing of Universal Music Group's Interscope, whom they split from over a year and a half ago.
