Basement Jaxx – "Raindrops"

From the excitement on the faces of our British dance fans, we were able to surmise that a new Basement Jaxx single has hit the airwaves. Last week, Basement Jaxx premiered “Raindrops” on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show Essential Selection. Featuring Felix Buxton on vocals (and on the vocoder), “Raindrops” has a much sunnier disposition than it’s title would suggest.

According to Stereogum, Basement Jaxx’s new album, tentatively titled Scars, will reportedly include vocals from Grace Jones, Yoko Ono, Yo! Majesty, Lightspeed Champion, Cyndi Lauper, Santigold and Sam Sparro. It would be amazing if the Jaxx were able to get Ono and Yo! Majesty together for a duet.

Damn, awesome website. I actually came across this on Google, and I am really happy I did. I will definately be revisiting here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just absorbing as much info as I can at the moment.

    Thank You
