Freeload: Fan Death, “Goodbye Horses”
- story THE FADER
We must admit, we did not remember this eerie Q Lazzarus song “Goodbye Horses” from the ’80s despite feeling pretty secure in the magnitude of our synth-pop brain-library. According to wikipedia it was featured in a bunch of movies we vaguely remember seeing? Like Clerks II? [Ed. Like the penis tuck scene in "Silence of the Lambs"? Worst best scene of the 90s—Q Lazzarus so bummed].’Couve disco divas Fan Death remembers it well and does a bang-up cover, the synths a little more crystalline and NOW and the vox are still deep and husky but a little smokier, and they do not sound totally androgynous [Ed. See above] like Q Lazzarus.
