The Montreal-based Elfin Saddle is prepping to release the follow-up to last year's Gigantic Mother/Wounded Child in May, and will be following up the record release with a North American tour with Sunset Rubdown.
The nine-track album entitled Ringing For The Begin Again will be released on May 19, and is bound to showcase a fusion of sounds ranging from the bands numerous influences, including band member Emi Honda's homeland of Japan. Last year Elfin Saddle released Gigantic Mother/Wounded Child on Kill Devil Hills Records, giving the band acclaim for their originality and interesting live performances. Ringing..., is sure to cause even more of a buzz around the band, especially with the addition of Nathan Gage -- giving the band a denser sound with his use of double-bass and tuba.
Elfin Saddle will hit the road in promotion of the new record starting on June 11 in Cambridge MA at the Middle East. The 19-date tour will go on till July 11, where they will play their last show in Montreal at Il Motore.
