Sweden's pop trio Peter Bjorn and John are celebrating their 10 years of band existence this year, and the mention of this led to a festive cheer at a sold out Music Hall of Williamsburg last night. Walking out onto the dark stage in hoola hoops, when these had no further use, the band's one-third namesake and front man, Peter, offered plenty of jumping and dancing throughout the night.
Brooklyn's Chairlift played an opening set. Other than their iPod commercial hit, "Bruises", they played a pretty tranquil collection of songs. This, with the combination of Aaron Pfenning's low voice and singer Caroline Polachek's frequent outbursts, made it sound as if the band was making out with everything in existence.
