There has been a load of hype swarming around Grizzly Bear's new record, Veckatimest, since the beginning of the year, and the album hasn't even come out yet (but it's not like we haven't heard it already). Grizzly Bear has announced the first single from the album will be "Two Weeks" and will be released on May 12 (May 18 in EU, June 1 in the UK).
Live performances of the song have been filtering around the internet for quite some time now (i.e. the Letterman performance, and the performance with Victoria of Beach House at SxSW), and we have to say, it's a great track. The single will be released as a 12" and will have two new remixes of the song.
Veckatimest will be released just a few days after the single on May 26 via Warp Records, and on May 24 the Brooklyn natives will be heading out on tour in support of the new album, which is the follow up to the band's critically acclaimed last album, Yellow House.
