Larry Clark, the man behind parent-hated art since 1971′s Tulsa, is remaking the Neil Jordan’s 1986 Bob Hoskins gangster vehicle Mona Lisa. He’s already tapped tenacious Mickey Rourke for the Hoskins role, and Rourke is now openly lobbying for Mick Jagger to play Mortwell, originally thespianized by Michael Caine. It’s nearly impossible to imagine how incredible this remake would be, but we would like to already suggest, regardless of box office receipts, that the Rourke-Jagger duo next tackle a reinvention of another Caine film: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Who wouldn’t want to see Mick Jagger poke himself in the eye with a cork?
