Pandora Will Not Go Bankrupt For Now

Instead of folding its cards in light of the economic crisis, Pandora Radio has a new royalty deal with SoundExchange and has raised $35 million worth of funds through Greylock Partners. With these new deals and investors, the free music streaming website will be able to hold its ground for the time being. However, users who listen to more than 40 hours of music per week through the website will now be required to pay a fee of 99 cents per month, and this change will affect about ten percent of Pandora's listeners. But in this economy, we think that less than a buck per month for unlimited music is still pretty darn good. (via cnet)
