Stream: New High Life Music

High Life, aka Sleepy Doug Shaw of White Magic , has returned with more than just a single song of African-tinged, British-born, hippie-raised freewheeling. His voice sounds like hot chocolate. Despite the too thick international touchstones in the title, check “Tuareg Dancehall,” both to see Shaw double the thin silver string Malian guitar and layer the wolf yell of ancient goddess Mira Billote. As of now, the songs are available only for stream on his MySpace, so open it in a new window, minimize and get back to work.
