New Jay Reatard Documentary, West Coast Tour In Store

Above is a trailer for "Waiting for Something," a soon-to-be-released documentary about Memphis punk Jay Reatard. We predict his battles with alcohol may be a part of the story, but the teaser we've got here isn't giving much away. Directors Alex Hammond and Ian Markiewicz will debut the film on Myspace August 4.

Shortly thereafter, Mr. Reatard has a slew of free, all-ages, instore performances along the west coast in support of his new album, Watch Me Fall, coming out August 18 (August 4th on vinyl) on Matador Records.
