Diskjokke, “The Bund” MP3
- story Matthew Schnipper
When it has a consistent backbeat, “The Bund,” the new single from Smalltown Supersound superstar Diskjokke, is in 4/4 time. But it has too much cross-streaming and late night ’80s dark Miami vibes to be a four-on-the-floor burner. Because apparently we are xenophobes, it’s crazy that he made this in Norway. Unless it was on a fjord, in which case that makes sense because when are you chilling on a fjord you probably get touched lightly on the cheek by baby sea lions’ soft paws, while water turns to wine and angels pour it directly down your throat and dab any mess with their wings. There are no fjords where we live, nor, really, are there any Diskjokkes, producing the kind of disco easily listenable at Love or outdoor yoga.
