Video Premiere: Pterodactyl, “Share in the Shade”
- story Sam Hockley-Smith
The last Pterodactyl video was shot in the creepy Market Hotel, so this time they must have decided it would be a good idea to get some air and some footage in the great outdoors. Then someone licks a toad and a freaky bearded dude (actually director Neal Jonas) covered in paint enters the dragon. Band member Matt Marlin tells us: “The idea is generally that he is a dark wizard (in Joe’s hallucinatory-toad-mind) who tries to harness the elemental power behind “Share the Shade” but is eventually eclipsed and destroyed by it.” We’ll leave it at that.
