Kiss to Release New Album Via Walmart

Kiss is currently putting the finishing touches on Sonic Boom, the band's first new studio album in 11 years, which will be released on October 6 exclusively at Walmart stores. The new album will be part of a three-disc package featuring a CD of re-recorded hits and a live DVD with performances from a recent show in Buenos Aires. Frontman Gene Simmons said in a statement: “The world’s biggest retailer had better get ready for the hottest band in the world and hire more cashiers.”

The band will herald the release of the CD set with a show at Detroit's Cobo Arena on September 25.
