After Oasis canceled their set at the Rock En Seine festival in Paris late Friday night, Noel Gallagher announced via their website that he has officially called it a day. "It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight," Gallagher wrote. "People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer." The band was scheduled to play more European festival dates over the weekend, performances at Rock am See in Germany as well as I-Day Festival in Milan also canceled as a result of the rift.
In other, more widely circulated news, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found dead in his New York apartment late Friday night, after what NYPD officials have suggested was a crack cocaine overdose. A crack pike, prescription pills and a "half bag of crack cocaine" were found in Goldstein's apartment. Below is video of Goldstein mashing Oasis and MIA while performing at last year's Lollapalooza festival.
