Recently we got into a discussion about The Fresh and Onlys with a friend of ours, and he said he didn’t like them because he didn’t like surf rock. We were all set to launch into this whole thing about how they aren’t actually surf rock, but thought better of it, allowing dude to like what he likes. The funny thing is, The Fresh and Onlys are surf rock, but more drunk, slurring through San Francisco fog to make the perfect soundtrack for those days when you actually do plan on surfing but never quite make it past the 12 pack of tall cans next to your bed.
