Man, Beyonce still runs this block. Rihanna might be like a Paulie Walnuts to B's Tony Soprano, but Amerie would probably just be serving sandwiches or wiping up the bar at Bada Bing. This kinda hard hitting hip-pop would need a strong game changer to divert from Beyonce and Amerie doesn't even come close.

I just loved it! It was on point fashion forward and Mad Maxish. This girl has mad talent and the album sampler on Def Jams website is letting you all know what’s in store for everyone with this album here. I love the cut with her and Trey Songz and the Higher cut she will get her props with this album In Love & War.

Wonderful song and hawt video!!! When I first heard this track, the beat, Amerie’s flow over the beat, and chorus - I couldn’t help but dance. Hell, I guarantee that most people accidentally created their own choreography to this video from the song alone. The one thing I’ve always valued about Amerie, beyond her beauty and gritty-Mary-J-Blige-ish vocals, is her originality. This girl thinks through her career (putitng her Georgetown University degree to good use), and only releases what she wants, and not what the label wants - hence her leaving Columbia Records (aka Beyonce, Inc.) With the video, and the album artwork, Amerie went for something more abstract, which hasn’t been done yet, and I think that it will work in her favor. But another strong suit of Amerie’s, is her ability to bring songs to life on stage, and once she wrecks the stage with this song, just like “One Thing”, everyone will begin to notice how hawt this song is!

DOPE video and even hotter song! And please don't ever compare Amerie to that puppet Rihanna. It's an insult to Amerie. Amerie is a true artist who has creative control over her career and comes up with her own ideas and writes her own lyrics; Not abc, 123 lyrics, but lyrics that actually have substance.
