Phoenix Frontdude to Contribute Music to Baby Mama's Movie

Tomas Mars, frontman for French pop technicians Phoenix, is contributing original material to soundtrack Sofia Coppola's next feature film. They're what you call life-partners. Entitled "Somewhere," the flick will be a father-daughter affair based in the Beverly Hills' Chateau Marmont Hotel and in addition to an appearance by Rooney, that younger Schwartzman-motored pop band you may or may not remember from the mid-aughties, "Somewhere" will also star Stephen Dorff. That's what one calls a make-or-break casting decision. Now, this is not the first time Mars has contributed to Coppola's work, as he and fellow members of Phoenix portrayed a band of musicians serenading Kirstin Dunst in 2006's "Marie Antoinette." See video of that cameo above. What hair they had! (via The Playlist)
